Hardly any people during the week at this site, so it was very quiet. Even on the weekends it was only at 1/4 capacity at most. Very shaded in the section we stayed so it was not ideal for solar. Did see other sections that looked like it was more wide open. We've stayed at this park several times and would keep coming. Verizon wasn't great in this area during certain times of the day. AT&T worked well for us for getting work done and zoom calls.

They had a mix up when checking us in and thought my mother's address was ours, so we got the newly increased resident rate ($18), when we went back to extend our stay they said we were non-residents and started to charge us $36, which didn't seem like a reasonable price to us so we only stayed one more night.
It is a large campground, located conveniently close to lots of beaches (we went to East Beach to watch the sunrise and then Napatree Point to watch it set, both have free parking lots (East Beach's is small). It has some fun amenities like an on-site naturalist, who hosts a bunch of activities for children, and is just a short hike away from Kettle Pond Visitor's Center. It has a few great hikes, playground, valley ball court and arcade. It also has a dumping station, lots of water spigots, pretty clean porto-potties (except during the weekend when it's very busy) and warm showers (for 75 cents for 3 minutes), flushing toilets in multiple locations.
Our site was right on a main road, which we didn't like. Sites in the low 400's and 500's seemed nice. Some sites have lake views and others are more forested. We come from Vermont where you can get super private sites, so we thought the privacy was pretty slim but ok. The staff were ok. Not super helpful. We overheard one staffer saying they had close most of the lake due to contamination but not the camp swimming part. After that we didn't swim there or bring our dog there for a dip.

Our particular site was swarming with mosquitos so we spent very little time outside of our trailer. This was a big bummer because the site was so beautiful and spaced away from the sites next to us.
We did enjoy walking the rest of the campground and letting the dogs swim in the lake. As of this posting, they had tested the water and it was still safe for swimming.
The location was great for getting to the rhode island coast and also taking the ferry to block island which we HIGHLY recommend!
There are no hookups here. Showers are quarter fed.
Cell service was excellent. No booster needed.
Staff was very friendly.
Alcohol is completely banned.

Very nice state park campground. Sites well spaced and very clean restrooms. Two beaches right across the street outside park entrance.
