Most were filled w TP trash and dead flies, some had toilet paper and others didn’t. Cleanest was at Burke Lake South near the first boat launch. But otherwise, we were completely alone, it was a quiet, beautiful evening. Hot, but breezy, so bugs not terrible. The gravel road was a bit rutted, but should be passable for anyone. Two bars on our Verizon phones. Bought a Discover Pass, but no one checked. Very little traffic on a Wednesday in July. Lots of open spaces for various-sized RVs or trailers.

This was our first boondocking experience and we were not disappointed! We found this place via Campendium of course. However, Quincy Lake, Burke Lake West & Burke Lake South are really the same area.
We visited in late March and there were a ton of open spots. Signs clearly mark the camping areas. Gravel roads are pretty well kept, however, there was a few muddy spots (and sites). Our 30ft Class C didn't have any trouble at all. We saw a few big rigs parked in there as well.
These lakes are not far off of I-90 but far enough to be off the beaten path. We used the Waze App to get us to "Quincy Lake". Before we got there we Google Maped (Satellite View) to see the interconnecting gravel roads around these popular fishing holes. You'll also see that there are a lot of sites with great views of the lakes. There are also amazing views of the canyon as well.
The area looks popular with fishermen. So bring your fishing pole and Kayaks if you have them! We didn't see any trash cans so you must pack it out yourself. You might see a few things left behind, we saw an old tire. But it wasn't bad. I really should give this section a 4.5 stars.
The site we chose was amazing. Great view, pretty level, gravel, and a rock fire pit.
There really wasn't a lot of noise other than some campers across the lake target practicing for a couple hours. They stopped at sundown and all we heard was coyotes and the wind.
Overall, this is a great place. I almost hate to give it a good review because I want to keep it all to myself! If you have any questions you can find us on Instagram and Facebook - @ZenningSoHard. We'll be happy to give you more details.

A quite place where you can enjoy sunset surrounded by natural beauty of the lake.
But my tent nearly flew away in the midnight due to the wind.
All in all, it's a wonderful place to spend a night or more.
