The decommissioned Coquille River Lighthouse is 3 miles away, and the beach is 1.5 miles away. There is a shorter trail leading from the back of B Loop, but it was underwater, about .25 miles from the loop.
The campground is just north of Brandon, OR.

The campground is in good condition, with easy access to bathrooms and showers if you are in need of them. I missed that my site had no power, but there was power at many of the sites, not quite sure what the power layout was, my bad. Plenty of trail on the campground property in my case to walk the dog. Overall, I would say a congenial group of campers, no rowdiness; makes it a good place to sleep.
Short drive to downtown Bandon and the beaches.

I do hate it when they make you move the next day from an open first come, first serve site, showing as Available on the reservation website, and then no one ever comes! Made us move from the shade to the sun. What’s up with that?
Great rangers.
Great place! Loved it!!

The beach was windswept and deserted and oh so beautiful. We stayed in A10 which was less private than other sites further around A loop. Sites were spaced out enough for it not to be an issue for us, but there was some traffic noise as the site was fairly close to the entrance road. Wild turkeys roaming around the campground were fun to watch. Showers were hot and clean, bathrooms clean too with no-touch soap and faucets which is great. Trash compactor available at the exit of A loop, and recycling facilities a short walk away too. We did have to line up for the single dump station when we were leaving, but it wasn’t too long a wait. Overall, another great experience at an Oregon State facility.

This is a good state park, but we enjoyed Harris Beach down the road more for the views and beach proximity. Our site was level, but had a wide and shallow pothole that held rainwater during our stay. Sites are reasonably large with dense shrubs between for privacy. There is only one dumpster for the entire A loop and it's at the entrance. The beach is actually about a mile away.
Later in the week we had a brief low voltage issue with heavy draw that triggered our EMS.

Great campground right outside of Bandon. The only knock is there is only a single dump station for the 82 sites that don't have sewer hookups. Would stay again.

We stayed here for a week in April, we stayed in the C loop with full hookups. Was able to ride our bikes to the lighthouse and walked to the beach on a cool trail. Bandon has great golfing and mountain biking trails near by.

Really nice park BUT some sites nicely forested some more barren, reserve carfully. Well cared for and site services up to date. LONG hike to beach (like a mile) Beach very nice in most ways and uncrowded. Lots to do here and lots of hiking to be had.

This was a new campground for us and we definitely hope to return! The campground was lovely, with spacious sites under the trees and W/E-50amp hook-ups too. But what we really loved was the beach! We opted to drive the one mile to the beach so the puppers could maximize their time on the sand. It helped that the campground wasn’t even a quarter full so we had miles of beautiful sandy beach all to ourselves. Only C loop was open during our stay in late February.
Each site had a fire ring, picnic table. When all the loops are open there are 101 FHU sites, 82 W/E, and 13 yurts. There is also a horse camp and hiker/biker camp. The comfort station has flush toilets and showers. There is also a dump station. I love that Oregon parks also offer recyling as well as dumpsters.
We didn’t get a chance to explore the many trails, but we did stop to take a look at the CoQuille River Lighthouse. It is one of eight lighthouses remaining on the Oregon Coast. Built in 1896 to guide boats safely across the shallow mouth of the Coquille River, it was decommissioned in 1939 and replaced with an automatic light on the south jetty. The lighthouse remained abandoned until 1963 when Oregon State Parks leased it and surrounding acreage for the park. It was closed during our visit, but tours are offered in the summer. Another reason to return. Lol.
We opted for two nights at Bullards Beach to avoid driving through “energetic weather”. We drove into Bandon, a cute, touristy little town that was nearly closed down on a winter Monday. We perused the few open shops, but struck gold at Coastal Chocolates, Face Rock Creamery, and Rain Cidery. Gourmet chocolate, locally made cheese, and excellent cider. I’m in!
We had 3 bars of Verizon 4G.
