Bucktail Creek Trailhead Dispersed Camping

Came here because the previous reviews said 3 bars of Verizon. There is NO cell service here. Text comes and goes. No data at all. A short ways in the woods is a bunch of bones and a wood toilet. Good for a quick overnight only.

We enjoy finding and camping in remote backcountry locations. It's always a challenge for us because I work fulltime and need to stay connected. We were looking for an area to kill a week in, and found this spot by doing recon via Google Satellite.

Nobody around. Incredibly quiet, so quiet all we heard was the hum of our inverter from our solar install. No animals to be afraid of, and the starriest skies we've ever seen.

The town of Nucla is 15 mins away. Definitely stop in Ruths Toffee, and the Coffee shop across the street. That's all there is to do in Nucla! Your kids will be bored, but you will feel right at home! 10mins from Nucla is Naturita, a small town with everything you need for re-provisioning.

Excellent signal here on all (3) major carriers. We were able to stream nightly.
