They have done a decent job of rebuilding since last hurricane. They have several loops. The back loop sites are more remote, better privacy, more shade but the downside is the train that runs 3 to 4 times a day. All the rest are in the open with little shade or privacy but only a bit less noise from the train. They also have "premium" sites along S. Beach Blvd that will have an amazing Gulf view and steps away from a small secluded beach. As far as I can tell ALL the sites are full hookup. Good food, groceries, Wal-Mart 10 mins away. Walking trails, good bike routes through camp, 18 hole disc golf and playground for the kids.
If you work remote or need internet, ATT was only running 15 to 18 mbs & T-Mobile was virtually non existent.

Very nice campground, busy but not loud. Well kept and clean. Right across from the beach. We were there during off season and had the beach all to ourselves. It’s a great location that isn’t too far from several attractions. An hour from Biloxi, an hour from New Orleans, and right down the road from a NASA Center.

Even though it was off season, this park stays busy. As noted in other reviews, the water park is not open during the winter. The sites are fairly level with concrete pads though without vegetation, there is no privacy between sites. The showers were clean and hot, and the laundry room was fine with 4 washers and 4 dryers each costing $2. Though I think 4 washers and 4 dryers are not enough for the number of sites here. Not a great deal of hiking from the park. There is a nature trail that is a couple of miles and you can of course walk along Beach Blvd. Good thing is there is very little traffic on Beach Blvd. Disc golf course that is the most heavily used disc course we have ever seen. It is not overrun, but just has constant players. Do not go for a walk out the south thinkin you will be able to walk in the north side of the park. There is a tall chainlink fence on the northern border for some reason so you can't walk in or out on that side. The south side is wide open for walking.
Lots of people leave bright lights on all night long for some reason. More than I would have expected, certainly more than I desired. I like to walk around in the morning before the sun comes up and you would just get blinded. I don't understand it. Starlink worked very well here.

Our site, 24 in Loop 1, was a back in that was just long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30/50 amp, water and sewer only) were to the left side. Distancing is good as a State Park should be. Some sites had a vegetation privacy barrier. Each site has a table on a concrete patio and some have a fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was well laid out, nicely groomed and a pleasure to be at.
There is park included wifi but it was weak and often impossible to log onto. Our Verizon hotspot worked well. We found a number of OTA channels and satellite should not be too difficult. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean.
There is a Store, Games Room/Arcade etc available (in season). Disk Golf and a Playground and laundry facilities are always available. There is as a Water Park and Wading Pool as well but only during season and it is an additional cost to use them. The beach is a little far to walk to but there is parking available should you wish to drive there.
There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but about a 15 minute drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be a good base to use visiting the local attractions. We paid $34.24 per night (inc Taxes) and we feel we received fair value. We will be back if in the area again.

I imagine in the warmer months the pools and water slides are very busy and fun for families. I liked all the places to take our bikes and access to the Gulf right across the street. Not far at all from I10. We stayed in spot 118 with pretty marshland water behind us. A few spots over 121 probably has better shade for the warmer months.

Really forgot the rate but it’s decent. $33ish. I usually stay here but I have to rethink this place. I was staying for 10 days but checked out 8 day early for work. I would have kept my camper there but it was pretty muddy. Tires were starting to dig in fast. Sorry. May need some gravel. So I went to check out and was told there is no credit for checking out and also no refunds. Camping have really changed. So we learned from this experience. It’s usually a great experience at this park but this is not a place to check out early. Probably best to do 2 days at a time. I could never get in contact with anyone to discuss this.
Other wise it’s a good place to spend a weekend. But watch your stuff. There was someone stealing tow hitches one day where were there.

They claim it is a premium park and don't give any discounts but in the winter all premium services are shut down. They are redoing the ocean front sites so camping is far from the water and their website doesn't show that. . Laundry room was filthy. Toilets out of paper.

Per other reviews use the Waveland Exit to Lakeshore drive to the beach. Crossing over railroad tracks with large rigs could be problematic in other RR crossing. Great location for cruising the small coastal towns. Train noise was minimal and part of the charm.
