“Good for Mountain Biking”

Reviewed May 05, 2019

Overall Rating

I had a good experience with one night in early May without a reservation. Overall the campground is well organized and relatively well kept. I particularly enjoyed that the showers actually have a hot and cold faucet and you could actually take a long shower. Check out was also a generous 2 pm but perhaps that was because the campg... more

“Nice campground for hiking and shopping in Nashville, Ind”

Reviewed Jul 05, 2018

Overall Rating

We stayed in the first loop near the Ranger Station. Tight campsites, have to uncouple to get TV off road. Idea for beautiful hiking and visiting Nashville, Ind.
Clean showers, tiled didn't use them but would next time.
Hard to believe you are in Indiana with the deep ravens, beautiful vista views.

“In the heart of beautiful Brown County”

Reviewed Nov 29, 2017

Overall Rating

This is a beautiful State Park situated in the rolling hills of southern Indiana. The park offers year around camping with reduced services in the winter months (they do have a heated bath house in the off season). Seasonal outdoor pool, hiking trails, mountain bike trails, Abe Martin Lodge with a year around indoor pool, lakes, natura... more

“Lovely wooded park”

Reviewed Nov 28, 2017

Overall Rating

I think our rate included the daily fee, but I am not really sure. The roads are hilly and winding, which makes for a very nice drive in the park. We stayed at Buffalo Ridge campground, which was the only one open. The campground is in a completely open area, surrounded by woods, so the outside sites back up to trees. The sites are... more

“Wooded, scenic park with multiple large campgrounds”

Reviewed Jun 11, 2017

Overall Rating

We van camped (6/7/2017) in a non-electric site at Raccoon Ridge Campground which has both non-electric & electric sites. The other 2 campgrounds - Buffalo Ridge & Taylor Ridge - are electric. Buffalo Ridge is a more open, park-like setting. Raccoon Ridge has trees and some open areas. Taylor Ridge is mostly wooded. Our site was l... more

“Great park, bad site selection”

Reviewed Oct 04, 2016

Overall Rating

We booked online and reserved fairly late (fall is peak season for this park -- in Mid October this region is well known for beautiful fall color), so did not have many choices for a spot. We were in site 384, which had a severe fall away from the parking pad down through the remainder of the spot...the picnic table was on a steep inc... more

“Beautiful park”

Reviewed Oct 17, 2015

Overall Rating

This is a large park, well maintained. Park employees were helpful and courteous. We came in after dark and found our site w/o difficulty. For mid October we were surprised at the number of campers. Fall colors, temps in the 70's don't hurt. A weekend visit w/these conditions may require a reservation, even this late into the season. ... more

“Rain and mud during my stay, yuck!”

Reviewed May 07, 2015

Overall Rating

I camped here on a busy October holiday weekend and would never do that again. I attempted to check in on a Sunday afternoon and the attendant said the spot was still occupied. So pulled into the parking lot to wait for the 3 pm checkout. Because the check-in is so far from the actual campground, they rely on the campers to deposit ... more
