This our third stay here. We come here to view the perseid meteor showers. It is a peaceful campground with full hookups.
Randy would stay here again

The camp host & other staff were friendly, but no masks or social distancing took place! We drove to Goldendale and hiked near the closed observatory. Also, we made a pretty lengthy, but worthwhile, drive to view the petroglyphs near the Columbia, which are very well presented.

Was first time towing a trailer (or anything for that matter!). Got to the park. Super clean and the host was so nice. The only reason i gave it 3 stars was we found there was not much to do. the 14 miles of trails was mostly power lines and the constant humming of the power line over the sites was not very soothing :) if you need a place to stay just passing through i recommend it. Super clean and friendly people. But the sites are so close to each other and not much to do. The town was about 20 minutes away, and thats convenient if you need to stock up. Good cell service as well.

We stayed here for a few days a few years ago, and again on Sept. 28 for one night. During our first stay, we had a nice hike in the part of the park that is across the road from the RV parking area. The old oak trees are worth a visit, as is St. John's Bakery just down the road. The facilities, while stocked, aren't in very good shape -- very old and a bit messy. The sites themselves are basically level and the full hookups are nice. However, the price is ridiculous, being more than we paid for a full-service RV park a few nights earlier. There was a rig in what appeared to be the host site (sign post out front, but no placard) both times we visited, but no sign of actual people either time. Our first time there, a parks employee went above and beyond to print us a hiking map so we could navigate around the trails. This park could definitely use some TLC to justify the price, though.

A lovely campground with separate areas for RVs, tents and groups. 2 shower houses, a pit toilet near the tenting area. All areas were clean, well maintained. The camp host was friendly and full information regarding the area. We stayed in site 44, a tent site. It was lovely with a small stream bordering the site. Nice privacy between most of the tenting sites. The RV sites were in the open with no privacy. There are hiking trails, swingset, open field to play in and there was an evening program on Sat. The two BAD things about this campground: a highway that is heavily used by semitrailers runs right by it and there is are huge electrical lines running right over the RV section of the grounds.
gasgirl would stay here again
