Briggs Woods Park

We found this park by accident. Driving home from a trip and the wind and rain picked up enough I didn’t feel comfortable pulling a trailer any further so we found the nearest place to stop for the night. The campsites were decent sized but nothing special. There was a nice lake we would have enjoyed in better weather. There was a really nice looking golf course next to the park I also would have enjoyed in better weather. Sites were reasonable, $20 for electric only, $25 for electric and water and $30 for full hookup with sewer. Cell coverage was good with reasonably good free WiFi. We were able to stream some movies since the weather didn’t allow for much else. Overall a comfortable stop and we may try to spend a few nights there next summer.

Campground located along Boone River. Lake in county park for fishing and swimming. Main campground is cramped. Some more remote sites located along road to rental cabins. All the roads in the campground are gravel, lots of dust. Overall nice park with a lot of amenities but the campground is marginal.
