This is NOT run by the national park service and it shows, IMO. It was “fine” but very parking lot ish. Bathrooms were clean. Had potable water.

We lucked out and got a last minute reservation at this spot. We usually prefer to stay at a smaller campground, not going to lie we were a little concerned that this would be a nightmare. We were very happy with our site as well as the campground. Not only was the site and bathrooms very clean but the spaces were evenly distanced from neighbors making it feel a bit private. Animal sightings were abundant- deer, elk and buffaloes. Would definitely stay again.

We had to look out the window before we exited the camper. The hike to natural bridge was wonderful, keep bear spray with you. We saw 8 grizzlies and 4 black bear while we were in Yellowstone.

I arrived at 10am to look for a campsite. Was greeted with smiles and welcome. Great place to stay in the park, quotes, serene, & cheap.
Recommend to everyone.

Campground was quiet and everyone seemed to respect quiet hours at night, no generators :) Only reason why not 5 stars is the sites are very close together, and it can be tight maneuvering to get parked, please read the descriptions of the site and max length on vehicles very carefully on the website when booking as THEY ARE ACCURATE.

Bathrooms and dishwashing sink on site. Most of the fire rings were flooded from the rain. Camp hosts were awesome but wouldn’t stay here again for the price. We saw an elk run through camp a few times, he likes the water spigots (which by the way, don’t work)

The negatives: The campground is unattractive, barely any trees. The sites are very small - I have a pull through for my truck/14 ft. trailer and I can barely exit with the larger rig parked next door. The only water at present is at the dishwashing station. It’s mid-June and 70 degrees…why aren’t the spigots on? Finally, when I pulled into my site there was a large bag of trash sitting beside the fire pit. It’s in clear view of any employees driving by. Calling Xanterra to change my booking was a pain, had to wait 40 minutes for a call back (only 9 callers ahead of me).
I stayed at Madison last year and it was great. What’s up with this campground?

The location of Bridge Bay is pretty ideal. It's such a close drive to the majority of lower loop points of interest. The marina and shops are also great plus there are trails right in the campground. We were frequented daily by bison walking through and a bear came through just after we left. That said the layout of the campground is subpar. There is zero privacy and the pull throughs are really just in the road. The inner grass areas are potholed and just not great. It's Yellowstone so you really can't complain but Grant is MUCH nicer (I can't vouch for the other campgrounds as we only stayed at two).

This is literally the worst site I've ever been in, hands down, and is unacceptable given that you're in the middle of a National Park. You can't pick your site here, that is the main problem. So on check in, we were given a "pull through" site that was literally just a wide part in the paved road, worst was that there was another site just behind us on the same road widening. No trees, no privacy, and I could see about 20 other sites within about 40 feet of our location. I asked the check in folks if we could be relocated, they said no since all locations are auto-generated. Drunks party going on until 1:00 am at adjacent site, with no staff asking them to quiet down, just added to ambiance. So lesson learned, I won't be staying at any campground where I can't pick my own site. Instead of this joke of a campground, use the Yellowstone ones reservable on recreation.gov where you can pick your site.
