“Great camping away from the valley floor”

This was our first adventure in a RV and it was memorable. We rented a class C from El Monte. 25 ft and probably 100K miles on her. The drive from the bay area to yosemite was a white knuckle affair for my wife as the cliff's were mostly on her side while I was driving. We selected this campground mostly because the valley floor campgrounds fill up quickly and we rolled the dice with getting a spot here at the first come first serve site. The campground is located on the way to Glacier Point. The drive up through the tunnel was picturesque.
This campground opens late in the season, so make sure you check ahead of time to make sure the site is open.
There are several local hikes and the campground was full of boulders to keep the kids occupied for hours climbing and playing. No phone access, but when we drove up the road to Glacier Point, the signals were strong since overlooking the valley.
