“Laid back and beautiful”

Boysen State Park is a large state park situated around the Boysen Reservoir. The park offers camping right along water’s edge and boat ramps to launch a boat. There are several different campgrounds to choose from.
We were at the park for the eclipse. The park was well prepared for the crowds and maintained a laid back attitude that made our experience during their busy time enjoyable.
The pit toilets were extremely clean.
Most of our pictures of this park were more eclipse related than campground related, so I didn't add those to this review. While staying here we also enjoyed a great local mountain bike ride. If you are interesting in those non-campground specific details of the area, I've documented those at: https://ridingroadsandtrails.com/2017/08/24/eclipse-2017/

The 2017 eclipse path of totality was expected to pass only a few hundred miles from our home. With about a 90% partial eclipse expected at home, we decided to make the trip into...
- dry camping
- boat ramp
- recreation trail
- water access
- big rig
- picnic table
- pull thru
- trash at site
- restrooms: vault
- water available
