Overall Rating
We scouted this campground but had no usable cell service on any network (Verizon, AT&T, Sprint, T-Mobile) even with our MiMo antenna. Bummer. Gravel campsites are level and have picnic tables, lantern hooks, etc. but no power. Campsites are mostly shaded so getting solar here would be a challenge as well. The picnic area was busy at the time of our visit (early August) but the campground was largely deserted.
There's a lake, nice picnic area, disc golf course, and a volleyball net.
BIG RIGS BEWARE: If you are coming here from Virginia on Route 33, the road over Shenandoah Mountain has tight switchbacks and 9% grades!
