“Small, remote. Campsites not maintained.”
Reviewed 5/31/2017
Camp sites no longer maintained. It is still a small, little used "trailhead" for wilderness horse pack trips, including a stock coral. It is "secluded" and used almost exclusively during they fall hunting season. The road to it is uphill, one lane and challenging. It is in prime grizzly bear habitat, with no view. Have bear spray on you 24/7 - seriously!
Why anyone would want to actually camp there, other than for a wilderness trip, is beyond me. That's why the FS deactivated it. There are tons of better spots including the FS's Turpin Meadows Campground just down the road. There are tens of thousands of acres of pure Forest Svc dispersed camping all over Togwotee Pass. If you want to get away this is the place!
