Bowman Lake State Park

I made my reservations on Reserve America, finding the camping ground was relatively easy but if you follow a GPS and towing a large trailer....it may send you on some back dirt roads. The roads are manageable but some are weight restricted. Plus the paved roads in are narrow with lots of curves and hills. Expect to use paper maps as there is no cell service on the way to the campground. Upon arrival, the staff greeted me well and was was well prepared to answer questions. The interior roads are pave, broken up pavement and stone. When meeting other vehicles the roads are wide enough. I found my site and was to back in with ease. The site was not level and took some work to get the rig leveled. A picnic table and fire pit are on each site. Water spigots are located around the park to fill jugs or your rig. No power or sewer at the site, but there is a dump station with in the park. If you have solar, there is a lot of tree cover. The campground has a playground, pavilion, beach, cabin rentals, concession stand, hand launch area and fishing opportunity. There is no cell service anywhere in the park. There are bathrooms spread around the park with a central shower building.
Some of the bath houses are older but work well. It says its a lake, but more like a pond, as it takes maybe 10 minutes to paddle around. Gas and groceries are nearby (7-9 miles) in Oxford NY or a little further in Norwich NY. This was a decent campground, with good size sites. I would return when in the area.
