When I arrived to site 20 there was no way I would be able to back up my rig without knocking out part of my trailer as the site was surrounded by trees. The nice camp host stated they have had issues with the site mis leading info were rigs would not fit. He allowed me to move sites for 1 night and move to another the next but had to pay extra as the only site they had was a FHU. Other then that the restrooms were clean and the campground was clean.

This is a nice state park with an adventure driving into. First, you go through some sketchy areas then turn down a road that winds along the river to the water treatment plant. But keep going! You’re almost there but try to arrive in daylight. The sites I saw were in the upper part of the campground and were in a pine forest which provides some shade. The bathrooms and showers were clean but you do need to use tokens for the showers which you get at the front gate. The sites I saw were on the small size and my 30 foot SUV and trailer just fit. When we were here the temperature was in the 96 plus degrees so it’s hard to enjoy the park when all you want to do is lie down and melt.

Try to get her during daylight. The sites I saw were on the small size with my 30 foot combination vehicle and trailer just fitting. We were in site 31 which is located in the upper part of the park in pine shaded area. The bathrooms and shower are good and meet “state park” standard. When we were here it was 96 plus degrees so it was very difficult to enjoy the park when all you want to do is lie down and melt.

This is a great park, hiking and mountain biking from the campground. Lots of trails. Between the camp host and park rangers this park is kept clean snd safe. We stayed in site 9, we think it was the best one next to the river. Book early as they get taken fast.

We thought it was first come but luckily got a spot in dry side. Sites are large and open. The river is beautiful. Perfect for dogs. The general water spigots weren’t turned on but the bathroom is clean and dry. Tokens only. Not really a destination but great stopover

I was expecting the worst but was pleasantly surprised by our small spot. Other sites like 22 and 23 are also quite nice. Sites 15 - 17 are close together and back onto the road making for limited space and privacy. There is only one shower stall in the upper bathroom building. You get two (3 min) tokens for $1. Firewood is not available at the campground. Sani dump cost $5. Excellent trails across the river. Clean facilities. Convenient access to Spokane. Would stay again.

Nice place, quiet and right on the river. Other reviews spell it out pretty well. It is a little off the highway, but close to town. Google's suggested route was convoluted at best. From I-90 I think Hwy 2 and 291 W to Rifle Club Road might be better/easier for bigger rigs.

This is a very nice, well maintained WA state park. We stayed on both loops, thanks to the PNW heat dome and a quick change of reservation from 2 nights in a no-services site to sites with hookups so that we could run the AC. We were able to get 1 night reservations in sites with hookups with less than a week notice, which was great. The riverside sites are, of course, a bit nicer than the upper loop since they are on the river. They are also a bit larger and more private. The upper loop sites are closer together, but include a sewer hook up. The campground is connected to mostly shaded hiking trails and the Centennial multi-use trail by way of the Swinging Bridge. Both the forested trails and the Centennial Trail provide fantastic running/walking/biking options. There are swim pools in the river near the campground also. Easy drive to downtown and the city activity options, too. Cell service was better near the river.
