There are actually 159 sites here. We were in F-5, which looks like it has been added in the last few years as the road going through the loop is gravel whereas the rest of the campground has paved roads. The hiking around the area is pretty good and it is a short drive into Canmore. In our spot we had some trees to the north of us, but our Starlink worked flawlessly, Google Fi, not as well. Nice stop if you are passing through the area. I don't think I would go out of my way to visit though.

Great location. Spots close to the road will hear a bit of traffic but further from the road it’s not too noticeable.

There have been a few changes since last year. This is no longer a First Come First Served park. Reservations are required for all sites. You can call or go on line at www.reserve.albertaparks.ca . Many of the large rocks that lined the roadway have been moved back and as well as some of the road hugging trees have been removed. Big Rigs can now manoeuvre a lot easier. The “Comfort Station” as the flush toilet and shower building is called is now operational. Showers are nice and hot but a token ($2.00 for 5 minutes) is required. Check in doesn’t exist. One just parks and sets up at your reserved site and an attendant comes to confirm your reservation. You need to provide a hard copy or e-mail on your cell. Our site, 13, was the farthest from the Trans Canada Highway so it was fairly quiet. It was also very secluded. A short trail led to the Riverbank and the view was spectacular. The camp hosts still do a really good job maintaining the sites and making sure rules are followed. They also sold firewood, delivered to your site as well as shower tokens. We paid a $12.00 reservation fee as well as $40.00 per night and we feel that the cost is a little much for the amenities provided. Sadly, demand far exceeds the supply so there is not a lot of choice. The Bow Valley needs more oprions

Just off Hwy 1A, so yes there’s road noise. Small roads in the park. Several site deep enough for bigger rigs but little room to maneuver
Currently (Jun 2019) no water in the park (shower house closed, dump station closed), so $40CAD may be a bit much. Otherwise, very nice especially with proximity to Banff

We had electricity but no water and there’s shower houses being built. Looked like they expect to have everything open this Fall, and they should have waited to raise the price. Overall it will be a find campground once everything is completed. Location is just off the highway, so it’s convient, but also really loud.
