It’s so much more scenic than a view from the highway and a lots of trees!
Even had a ranger led star gazing party.
Great Verizon reception 3 bars LTE.
Did laundry at Bubbles on Boulder City parkway, clean and new!

While recreation.gov lists most sites as large-tent capable I when I arrived to my site, #62, outside of the concrete RV pad the available space was covered in rocks and mostly on a slope. I was eventually able to get a large enough space clear of sharp stones to accommodate my 8x7 tent, but even then it was rough to stake out. Another tent camper nearby simply set up on the RV pad and did not stake out at all.
RV camping here seems to be the norm; and as a result promptly at 6pm the RVs sing the song of their people - that low generator groan from all around. Only ending promptly at 10pm when quiet hours start. Days are not any quieter as the campground is under the flight path to the Grand Canyon for several helicopter tour companies. They start up promptly at the butt crack of dawn and pass overheard on the hour, every hour, until dusk.
On the plus side, bathrooms were clean and well-lit.

We take two annual trips out here and love it every time! Sites have a good amount of space between them, hosts are great and with the new booking on line I get the same site I want every time without showing up on odd days.

We loved this campground. Was FCFS when we stayed in October 2021, but now there are reservable sites on Recreation.gov! Site 111 was very level, back-in, paved with nice cement picnic table. We chatted with the friendly camp host, Tedi, who has been there for 3 years. Walking around, there were good views everywhere and we enjoyed the cement paths and the large amphitheater. We stayed in our 25’ Class C motorhome. Will be back!

We just arrived for Memorial Day weekend and were informed reservations are now required here. Only spots 1-9 are FCFS. Nothing so far on the NPS website saying so. Luckily we arrived on a Wednesday to many open spots and made a reservation on recreation.gov. Other than that what everyone else says is true. Very nice, large clean spots.

I've been coming here for years and used to love it, but it's become a lot busier and incredibly loud with generators constantly running. I wish there was a no generator policy.

Dry camping, big rig friendly, dump station and potable water. Only negative factor was long generator hours of 6am-10pm. Beautiful clean campground!
