This hook up and sites were really nice. The state park was very pretty. The trails are full of Chiggers. Do not go for a walk on the trails. You will regret it just like we did.

Large, asphalt sites with fire ring and picnic table, many have wooden decks beside the RV. This park is huge, really huge, so beau coup hiking trails, ponds and the river for fishing. Shower houses are all individual showers and clean. Laundry facilities at the shower houses are also quite clean with quality washer’s & dryers. No, the down side- cell service is available but pretty thin. We were able to stream using our 5G T-Mobile modem, but cell phones are voice only. Go figure!
Winn Dixie, hardware and auto parts stores in Farmington, 6 miles away but a whole different world after the serenity of Bogue Chitto😊

We’ve stayed here at least 6 times. We prefer the more quiet, wooded, upper loop. You can walk to trails from your site, the bath houses are private, there’s an awesome water park area with many covered areas, river access, and biking. We go every Halloween for safe trick or treating.

This place is huge and there's no way we will have time to do everything. Most notably are the equestrian trails and the opportunity to ride horse around the park. We stayed in the bottom area which was quite a jaunt from the main entrance.
Our site was huge and just behind it was the bathrooms, showers, and laundry. All were very clean with plenty of hot water. The laundry is $1.75 per load per machine, but you can pay via an app. The machines did a great job and we opted to use them instead of trying to find a laundromat.
The sites are all pretty big with fire pits and park grills. There was 15/30/50 amp plug-ins with water. The dump station was just down the road and was clean. The sites are very clean and look well taken care of.
We will definitely be back and recommend stopping by.

Our 5th stay in 2 years at this local-for-us SP. We arrived after a rain event so Bottomland river and creeks were full, swamp areas holding water and some trails near the river holding water - very picturesque and trails not an issue since we visit frequently. Bottomland has no sewer HU and 2 bars AT&T at best. I used the very clean bathhouse near host camps to shower (conserve gray tank) - six private bathrooms and laundry with 1 washer 1 dryer. Hot water took several minutes to flow but plenty hot. Sites in BL are blacktop, mostly level, picnic table, fire ring, grill and many BL have wooden decks. We opt for fall and winter stays - summer is hot, buggy and more noisy - need shade at least. Weekdays are gloriously quiet. Stores and Giddy Up coffee shop in Folsom are 15 minutes and Covington 45 minutes for occasional dinner out. Very popular so book way ahead. Senior discount half off and dogs on leash or lead. Happy camping!

What a fabulous family weekend we had celebrating birthdays with a great camping trip to Bogue Chitto State Park. The rain only got us on Friday and the threat of rain kept temperatures quite nice. Our adult kids joined us for a total of 5 adults, 4 dogs. We had a fun time tubing in spite of battling fallen trees and one blown tube (Tubing in the park brought us another by boat) and even made new friends who also live in BR. We stayed in the upperlands on site 9. It was a little uneven and not terribly easy to back into being slightly uphill (we are still kinda new at this) but once in and leveled it was a nice site with full hookups, reliable electricity, park wi-fi, a grill, fire ring, tent pad and lots of trees for shade and a nice view. We were right next to the (vacant) Tentr sites. Sites were spaced out nicely. You do need to make peace with red dirt. Unisex bathhouse with individual complete bathrooms was right across the street. I generally only use our bathroom but after tubing it was nice to get the sand off with a little more water than I’d use in the trailer. We all relaxed, hammocked, played cards, read, napped, had movie night and just had a great time being together. I highly recommend Bogue Chitto it’s a beautiful well maintained park. Looking forward to more good times there!

I set up a chair in the water and watched my family try to fight the currant. In the afternoon we went to the splash park and slide and my kids had a blast. They also enjoyed the snowball stand. We drove around and planned our next trip! We can’t wait to bring our helmets and ride our bikes on the bike corse! Fun!
Our site was good. No site’s in the uplands get shade 100% of the time. Site 40 got the evening shade which I prefer. We were right across from the bathrooms and next to a little play area which was perfect for my kids.
The bathhouses were very clean the entire time we were here.
Overall the park was fantastic!
Ok WiFi
