The waterfront sites are about 200 yards from the water because the lake level is so down. The pics must be from years ago because there is a field of wildflowers between the sites and the actual water. 3 of the waterfront sites have seemingly permanent residents, so the best spots in the shade are unavailable. The bathroom facility is not vented and has no air, so it can get unbearably hot during the day. They also don't service the facility regularly as there were large spiders & webs in and around the showers, some toilet stalls often had no paper, and the small trash can by the sink wasn't emptied once in the 4 days we were there. The Manager's house/office was unkempt and displaying a very large polarizing political flag on the front wall (not a good way to make all guests feel comfortable and welcome). This place needs a lot of work to be worth the price they are charging, especially relative to other similar options in the area.

Campground was super easy to find. The owner was really nice. Night time was very quiet and peaceful. The lake side sight was really nice. I will return as this campground grows.

We loved our stay here. We were first timers ever RVers and the camp manager helped us feel so at home. Fishing is great, sites right by the beach and piers for fishing. They are going to keep on adding more on the facilities! Will be back here for more fishing!

This is a growing campground with great potential! We had originally selected a park view site ($32), but once hubby turned the corner and saw their gorgeous view of Buchanan Dam, he was sold!
Sites were gravel with concrete pads under nearby picnic tables. Joe, the park manager, was kind and helped us Newbies park our 26 foot travel trailer.
No cell service here. Verizon had 1-2 bars maybe. Hubby had his own WiFi which allowed him to work while enjoying the view.
Our pups enjoyed their ATV trial along the entry park and our lab had a blast in the lake!
Future plans include a laundry room facility which will be nice (I went into Llano to do our laundry..Tex Star).
Big rig access could be a challenge although a huge 5th wheel parked next to us the day before we departed
We will make this campground agin the next time we visit Texas Wine Country
