My husband's favorite park! We were in site 4. I must say.... the sites here are very tight. We have a small camper and it was very difficult to get in it. Once in, the fire pit was right next to our camper and under our awning. We had electric and water and there is a dump station. The showers were clean and had pressure and hot water. There was also one washer and one dryer outside each bathhouse. $2.50 each. They worked fine. There were several Manatee at the BEAUTIFUL spring. We took a boat tour and it was fantastic! There was a paved Spring to Spring bike trail right at the entrance to the park. We rode our electric bikes on it and it was great!
Without opening our awning.... which we didn't need anyways, we were able to have a fire each night.

This campground is well-kept and in good condition. The restrooms/showers are very clean, and laundry is available. Campsites are decent size with vegetation between them. Not all sites are level due to some having rocky surfaces, (otherwise packed sand) so choose your site carefully. We had site 44, and would not recommend it due to it being unlevel. We had to park away from the utility hookups to get level. Luckily we have extra long hoses and electric cable. Our site was on the inside of the loop. The ones on the outside looked bigger and more level. We were there midweek in late September, And the campground was quiet despite being about 3/4 full. The river water is clear and beautiful. Unfortunately we didn’t see any manatees. The water is a cool 72 degrees. We saw people swimming and kayaking. We did see deer, turkeys, squirrels and many birds. Also a beautiful swallowtail butterfly! We would rate 4.5 if that were possible. Our experience was dampened, literally, due to it raining the afternoon and night we got there causing us and our dogs to be stuck inside the trailer,

It’s a great spring but make sure you know what your spot looks like before booking! Site 42 was very uneven and small for a 30 foot camper! There are other spots that are better but DO NOT BOOK SITE 42!

I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in the site #4, an E/W, BI site for $29/night. This is a lovely park. The access road is asphalt and the sites are packed sand. I had no issues navigating the roads. I had a little bit of trouble backing in due to the narrowness of the access road. The truck had to go off the pavement in order to get turned into the site. It was obvious that lots of other people had to do the same thing. The site was pretty level, no additional boards were needed. It is a pretty private space with lots of foliage around. It was too short for me to park the truck in front of the rig, but it was wide enough that I had room to park beside it. Bathrooms were clean. I didn’t use the showers. There was one washer/dryer located at the bathhouse, but I didn’t use them. No wifi, 1-2 bars LTE with Verizon, lots of OTA channels. The park was very quiet. I could hear a train on occasion, but it wasn’t bad. There was access to a bike trail right from the park. Other sites I would consider if I came back: 14, 17, 18, 19. Sites on the inner loop were kind of close to others behind them (#46-51). It was fun to go down to the spring to look at the manatees. I only saw a couple as the weather was still pretty warm. I took the boat tour which was fun – saw lots of birds and gators. I would stay in this park again.

This campground is heavily wooded and sites tend to have a nice mix of shade and sun. There are little deer paths into the woods behind many of the sites, which makes a lovely spot to face your chairs toward the woods and pretend you’ve got the place all to yourself. This campground is the only park I’ve stayed at (so far) where you are far enough away from your neighbors to really get some peace.
The bathrooms can be a bit of a hike depending on your site, but not too bad. Less than 1,000 steps according to my phone’s step counter.
We stayed at site 21 and it was a really lovely spot with more than enough room for my WeeRoll 12ft trailer and my minivan. I have to say, all the spots we walked past looked wonderful in their own way. Some curve into the woods a little, some are relatively straight.

We stayed in site 51 with a 35 Ft 5th wheel. It was VERY tight. The site was quite unlevel. We heard the same comments from other campers. The springs were beautiful and surprisingly uncrowned on Easter Sunday. I have a Pepwave Max Transit Duo router along with a Parsec Husky antenna. Service was insufficient to maintain Zoom call connections. AT&T had 7.06 Mbps download and 3.12 Mbps upload speeds. Verizon was 1.03 and 1.64. TMobile would not even connect. We have reservations later this year. Unfortunately, we’ll have to cancel since I cannot work. The site is great for smaller units and people who can be disconnected. There are rail road tracks nearby but the noise didn’t bother us.

Sites are very spaced out with plenty of vegetation for privacy. Restrooms were kept very clean. The spring was beautiful and we saw more than 40 manatees one morning. Canoe and kayak rental is available, and a paved greenway is adjacent to the park for walking or biking. We look forward to returning.

The campground is situated in the scrub oak/palmetto forest. This vegetation provides great screening between campsites so while you may hear loud neighbors, you likely won't see them. Most of the campsites seemed very spacious with room to set up a nice outdoor space. There is a short paved trail from the campground that takes you to the spring where there is a gift shop, kayak rental, etc. This area has many day use visitors. We found it nicest to go down there before the park opens at 8am. Depending on the weather there may be over 100 manatees in the spring area.
We found many activities to do in and around the park. There is a 5 mile hiking trail out into the scrub. There are also several miles of two-track sand roads in the scrub near the campground where I met almost no one. There is a paved bicycle trail that runs north and south from the park and has a great ride. My one complaint would be that there is no boat launch inside the park. The boat launch is about a mile past the park.
