Blue Ridge Roadside Campsite

3 Different spots available; one close to the parkway 1 further down the hill and another right at the creek! the creek crossing is part of a trail so you may have some foot traffic but not much at all. plus hiking right from your campsite. Very quiet with creek/falls background noise. can get pretty windy at elevation. Some trash near the firepits / woods but not too much. Access was 5 stars in my opinion but not suitable for RV's or none 4x4's. great spot all in all and definitely will return to this area.

Hearing the running water at night was very nice. the fire pits are a little small but they did the job! 2 sites as soon as you pull in and if you cross the stream 2 more if you up down the trail a bit, but no car access to those sites. Very busy during the day but quite at night and you can’t hear your neighbors because of the stream, which creates privacy without being completely alone. Went during Labor Day weekend so it might of been more busy than usual then. But absolutely no service at all, you will have to drive all the day down to Woodrow to get a connection. So mark locations on your map before making the trip! happy camping :)

This area is right off the road and looked pretty cool. But the “road” in was gravel, covered in potholes and low hanging branches. It was steep and immediately turned to the right into a parking lot of sorts. It was not level at all. Parking there then tent camping would’ve been great. We didn’t want to risk driving our 24’ RV down there.
