My partner Hans wrote the above review so I have little to add.
The beach is rocky. There is a nice beach walk down steps across from the entrance station, go at low tide.
We loved our campsite as we had shade and in a matter of hours charged our batteries (4 lithiums). 10,11, 13 looked nice also.
Don’t miss the short hike to the waterfall, around .4 mile and easy. A longer more difficult one continues.
The one thing I dislike about Newfoundland Provincial Parks (PP) are that generators can be run all day.
The sites were nicely spaced.
This is one of our favorite PP
Corner Brooks has some large grocery stores.
Cell coverage came and went but worked 80% of the time.

You have to earn this great remote place to camp. The road in from Corner Brook is twisty and rough in places. Take it easy and you’ll be rewarded with a fantastic place to stay. This is a popular park with Canadians, reservations are strongly recommended. This is our second time staying here, last time was in 2017. The park is small. Eleven of the 28 sites will accommodate a 35’ RV or Motorhome. All the sites are no service. There is a good dump station with rinse water. However, there is no potable water at the park. It says to “boil your water”, but I wouldn’t use it. The visitor center in Corner Brook, which you’ll go through to get here, has a dump station and good potable water. It was so good (no chlorine smell and good taste) that I didn’t even filter it. Fill up there before going out to the park.

There are trash cans and recycle bins at each campsite. They pick up the trash more than once a week. There is a small laundry and washroom at the dump station along with pit toilets throughout the campground. The roads are all excellent gravel surfaces within the park. The campsites are grass and gravel. I consider this campground typical of all Newfoundland provincial parks - clean and well kept.

There are plenty of hikes and things to do nearby in the town of Lark Harbor and Little Port. If you arrive before the end of June, you can go to the wharf in Little Port and buy lobster off the boats. Check the date of lobster season online. We paid $7CAN/pound and got three nice 1-1/4lbers for $20CAN. Be sure to bring a large pot to cook them in. The fishermen are all more than happy to sell them to you. The beaches are all rocky and pebbly but exceptionally clean and remote. The waters in Lark Harbor are typically calm enough to kayak and paddle board on, but be aware that winds can come up quickly and the water is very cold. If you’re the hiking type, don’t miss Tortoise Mtn and South Head Lighthouse hikes. They’re both significant climbs, the latter being one of the toughest 4 mile hikes I’ve ever done.

Amazingly pleasant was the nearly absent mosquitoes compared to Cape Breton where we were before this. There are black flies that can leave a nasty welt, but they also were not noticeably present in the campground.

Cell service is variable but usually good within the campground. It’s excellent in Lark Harbor.
