Every night a strong wind would kick up, so keep that in mind if you have any tents.
The area was very peaceful but the site was trashed. We cleaned the broken glass from the area where my dog would go, but there was so much more in the site.
We had 3 bars of Verzion 4G and 5 bars of AT&T 4G (40 megabit download and 2 megabit upload).

Stopped by but didn't stay. Long distance views but what comes with that is wind. It wasn't even supposed to be a particularly windy day but it was gusting fiercely. No thanks, not for me. The road was well graded and Verizon signal strong though.

We showed up and it was half raining, half icing. The road was a bit slick but we did make it back to a decent campsite with a fire pit and amazing views. The site was slick and we sunk a bit (30,000 lb 40’ Class A) but nothing major.
Sadly those that had previously used the site do not understand the leave no trace principles. The fire pit had what looked to be toilet paper and condoms in it, along with cigarette butts and pennies. The whole site was littered with bullet casings and broken clay pigeons. We had hoped to clean up the site but weather wasn’t on our side.
The spot was mostly level and we didn’t need jacks but it was also wet clay so we opted for no jacks. It was close to the road (not highway) but I didn’t feel unsafe and it was mostly quiet (there was a bit of “traffic” from people going back and forth on the road).

Truly beautiful area with rolling hills and snow capped mountains all around the distance. We were delighted. Lots of walks through the beautiful countryside, a great sunset and a peaceful evening fire.
I can see it’s a popular area for bringing the buggy, and sadly many of the first sites had a lot of leftover garbage. We were there on a Thursday night in February and it was quiet and lovely for us, but I wouldn’t try it on a weekend. You can hear the highway but it’s not a big deal. No facilities but good AT&T reception.

3-4 bars of Verizon. Spot was level but had a downslope drop to get to it. This spot was airy and there were breezes throughout the day and night which made it comfortable in 107 degrees. Felt safe Would stay again. I think I was located a few stops from the exit onto the road.

A perfect overnight spot right off the freeway! We couldn't believe how quiet & serene it was with how close to the I17 we were. It was a little windy, but absolutely beautiful. We would definitely stay here again.

I enjoyed the rugged area. Isolated, but there is a ranch down the road a piece. I had a herd of sheep daily though my camp and Cattle nearby. Road has some traffic. On the weekends it may be even more, I was here during the week.
Road is decent for a gravel and dirt road, this area may have mud issues during rainy season.

We stayed here for a week. Take Bloody Basin Rd to the West from I17. The road is gravel but well maintained. No issues with our large fifth wheel. There are maybe 8 pull outs spread over 3 miles available for camping before you get to the intersection at Crown King Rd and Antelope Creek Rd. You can camp on those roads as well. We saw a few sites. When we arrived all sites in the first 2.5 miles were being used but we found the last one on Bloody Basin open and it is a larger area with room for 2 or 3 RV's easily. Hunting season just started so several campers were there to hunt. There were several jeeps and ATV's travelling around but not bothersome at all. Hunting must have been poor because we never heard any shooting.
AT&T cell service was good with 15Mbps download and 4Mbps upload. T-Mobile was only 1 bar. It did get windy a couple of the days we stayed but was sunny and nice on the other days. A little cool in late February because it's about 3800' elevation. It also rained heavy one day and turned into a slick muddy mess. I don't think you would get stuck but we were glad it dried out before we left. Water and mud all over the ground because the pull outs don't have much for grass or shrubs. There is a Pilot in Cordes Junction about 4 miles up the road but they closed their dump station. I filled up with propane and they did let me use their potable water and garbage.
