Had a 1 day stay over on my way to CO. Nice place to stop just off of the highway. Looks like it could be a problem in wet weather. There are a bunch of tire makes, but in dry season hard as a rock.

I needed an overnight spot with quick access to I-70. This location fit the bill on that requirement. Why it didn't dawn on me how close it was to highway 191 and the railroad tracks is beyond me.
The camping area is easy to get into and out of as long as there aren't too many people. When I arrived there was only one other camper (a class A motorhome). By dark, there were seven vehicles, including on tent camper.
Don't drive on the green areas in the parking lot. There are cactus in those areas and could present a danger to your tires.
I had zero to 1 bar for Verizon and it wasn't enough to send a text. I walked up one of the nearby hills and had enough signal to get the text through just fine. Be careful walking up the hill as there are more cactus there.
As I was sitting in my trailer I wondered what motor was running. I could hear it and feel it. It took me a while to figure out it was a train going by. 191 is busy and I could here some of the semi trucks going by. If you park a bit further away from 144 the hills may shield you from some of the noise. I was within 40' of 144 so I could take off quickly in the morning without having to drive past other campers.
It was very windy the day I was there. Lots of dust had to be cleaned from inside my trailer.
Next time, I'll either drive further east on 144 or find a different area. I did pick up trash before I left, but it was relatively clean.

Basically unlimited sites. Cell service for t mobile and AT&T was excellent. And there were lots of cows everywhere! The road in is a little washboard but overall not bad at all. Very easy BLM experience. Also good for stargazing.

We read about this spot in advance and seemed like a good area to try. We wanted somewhere close to Arches National Park. Took BLM road 144 east into the desert and decided to follow the road to a beautiful ridge line of picturesque rock faces we could see in the distance. A lot of the road was washboard but not terrible. We are in a 31’ Class C motor home but we went slow and did fine. We were there during “spring break” and figured the area would likely be busy being so close to Arches and spots hard to come by. Nope! Other campers were spread out and there were several spots to choose along the beautiful rocky ridge line. Some parts on the road were soft sand and we had to hike and scout it a bit before driving on. We loved this location. Came to find out this area is right on the northern rim of Arches. We hiked from here. Explored. Enjoyed the serenity without the touristy crowds! I will definitely come back to this area!

We arrived early evening 3/23/21 on our way to Arches, pulled right in and drove about a mile and parked. The sunset and sunrise were both fantastic and even though it was cloudy, the night sky was beautiful.
No others around and just 2 others within distant view.
Perfect stay, road was easy for our class B.

Access roads a bit rough we had a 33 foot airstream.

Large open flat space that any size RV could stay here. Fairly quiet, around 10 other RVers here spread way out, and room for lots more, if needed. I picked up lots of trash, keep it clean kids or they will lock us out! Stayed here October 2-4 2020.

Granted, we were staying here in the middle of October and it might be busier and hotter at other times of the year, but there were a total of 3 other boondockers during our entire stay.
General access to the site was very easy, with the exception of some ruts in the road. Passing the gate was a bit tight, but the road is wide and flat thereafter. There were some larger pullouts or group sites close to the entrance, but we chose to drive through one and around behind the hill to additional sites. We chose this to reduce any noise from the main road into Moab and the possiblity of any trains. We did not hear any noise from either the entire time.
Here is the link to our video on Moab, with more to come on Arches and Canyonlands. If you want to visit without the congestion of the town, we definitely recommend this spot.

Lots of open room and sites to afford plenty of privacy. Can situate yourself close to road or far off. Beautiful scenery. Once daily or nightly train passes by if you stay close to road. Road conditions vary but we had no problems with our 37’ fiver/
