Overall Rating

This campground is off the beaten path, but well worth it. It is owned and operated by Brookfield power, who owns and maintains the dams on the Raquette River system. Located on Blake Reservoir, great boating and paddling. There are several more reservoirs near-by so this can be base camp. The campground has approximately 56 sites, several on the water. Bathroom and shower near the entrance, just bathrooms centrally located. Good interior roads with a beach and playground. Most sites have no services. Sites near the entrance and near the central bathhouse have just 30 amp electric, (more $$). There is ADA sites near the entrance also. There is water spickets located around the park. First come first serve, no reservations accepted, but you can call to check if sites are available before driving there. Big enough for big rigs. Each site has a picnic table and fire pit. TV and cell service is very spotty. Generators and pets allowed, boat and kayak launch sites.
