Blairton Tent & Trailer Park

The park was easy to find. There is pavement all the way to the park. Signage is adequate. The interior roads are single lane gravel and in good condition. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. Be aware, this is a high density “retreat” for city folks. Not really a Campground or RV Park but there are a few sites available for transients.

Our site, 85, was a back in just 6 inches from the rear and about two feet from our left side to our neighbors units. Services (30 amp, water and sewer) were to the left side. Distancing is terrible for a rural park. Units were packed in like sardines and there are over one hundred. Our transient site had a fire pit and that's all. It site was flat and even. Permanent sites had all manor of additions, decks etc. some very lavish. Overall the park was laid out so that there was no square yard that was not earning it’s keep but there were NO TRASHY sites.

There is NO park included wifi or cable TV. We did not find any OTA TV. Satellite would not be a problem here in the transient zone.. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean. There are at least three washroom buildings in the park. In season, there is a small concession located in the office.

The “beach” area is small and the sand is more like dirt but there is a water park that looks amazing. There are Boat, Canoe and Paddle Boat rentals available. The lake looks very nice as well. We found the residents here to be friendly and outgoing. This would be a great place to summer or spend some time if you like being very close to your neighbor. For us, it was a good enough overnighter.

There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores in the town of Havelock.. We paid $65.00 plus taxes per night and we feel we received only fair value. Sadly, there is no competition near by. We would be back if in the area again.
