Blackstone River Welcome Center

As the previous reviewer wrote, this rest stop is just a highway rest stop. However for a one night lay-over, it works perfectly. The parking area is quite large, so there is plenty of space to spread out. The night we stayed here (9-27-21), there were 3 other RVs and a handful of automobiles, not to mention some long haul truckers. Of course, you can hear the highway traffic, but it is possible to park quite a ways off of the highway and there are a couple rows of trees between the highway and the furthest parking area. The Visitor Center is not open around the clock, but when it is open, there are plenty of clean bathrooms, if you wish.

This is just a rest stop but it had a bunch of campers staying overnight and I even saw a large class A with the slide outs in use and chairs outside. There was also some good paved hiking/biking trails behind the welcome center. I wouldn't recommend more than 1 night but it was an alright spot to catch some zzzz's and chill out for free.
