With not such a good signal.

Go past the day use parking lot; it’s quieter and the views are better in the canyon. Only a couple OHV riders out when we were there. No sheep :(
A smaller rig would have an easier time—luckily, we were the only ones there. Amazing sunrise!

Now if you’re looking for a place to come with the family for a full on “camping” weekend this might not be the place you pick because you do have to park and walk down to the tables and fire pits. If you are a four wheeler or dirt bike family I would assume this place is great. We did not see any sheep but were there just for the night on our way through. Enjoyed getting wet in the creek and making some coffee to soak in the scenery before heading out for sure. Very nice and quite and we were the only ones on the lower lot. Clean bathroom a plus too. Would stay again for sure. Getting in we were cautious because it was late and very dark. You need to go through some personal ranch property but it was easy to find. Only cell services at the top lot FYI

There are camping charcoal grills next to each table (we didn’t use). We drove passed the initial parking lot to the next section which already had a fire pit and large grassy area. Several motorists rode by on bikes and sidebysides but everyone was respectful and no one came around after 8:30. We live close and decided to drive our minivan up for a little one night adventure. We plan on visiting again soon. And hopefully staying a bit longer.

This is just a parking lot and we went on a Wednesday morning to check out and were at least 20 vehicles off loading OHVs. They all seemed nice but I would not want them all around while I was staying there. Did watch them off load 2 more trucks full of sheep. The underpass mentioned should be high enough for anyone - looked like the typical 14' height minimum before they are marked. The picnic sites had covers and did see someone camping in a tent right by one, the area is away from the OHV parking area so not as busy. Road was pretty good. Did not see any more sites past the parking area or a spot to turn around if you had a rig on.

Easy access from I15, only a couple miles. The roads in are good graded gravel.
The underpass is not marked with height. We are 12 ft and it was fine.
The OHV paths are great for hiking too.
Fire pits are by the picnic shelters.
Wonderful site for waiting out a late spring snowstorm. Camped in a 34' Motorhome and didn't need to unhook tow car.

The first time we stayed here was in May and didn’t even notice there was a gate. We parked our rig in the first parking area that Subaru Outback mentions in his review below. It’s large dirt parking lot and it was busy in the evenings with trucks off-loading their OHVs. But everyone was polite and we didn’t have any issues.
We really enjoy this area. It was peaceful during the day, has beautiful scenery and I loved waking up to flocks of sheep covering the mountainside. The picnic shelters across the road were a great spot to hang out, especially when you find leftover wood for a campfire. It's also not that far from Pocatello and mountain biking trails.
It's also a short drive off the interstate and the roads are in good condition. You do have to drive under an overpass. There's no sign stating the height of the overpass, but our rig is 14 ft. tall and we made it through.
I gave the site quality three stars because it's a large parking lot that RVs can fit in. Noise also gets three stars because it gets loud when the OHVs are around.

I almost didn't want to share this one! It is boondocking in a beautiful canyon with a few good views. It's hard to beat something like that.
It is a dirt road in, passing briefly through some private property. The road was in great condition while was there, even despite some good rain storms coming through.
The first available area is a parking and staging area with some picnic tables across the road. There's a vault toilet there, which was clean and nice for a vault toilet. I didn't set up camp there, personally, and didn't snag any pictures of that spot, either, unfortunately.
Continuing up the road (keeping right), there is a loop with another vault toilet and some room for parking and staging. This is where I camped, parked on the grass. It's a pretty long stretch of grass, and I had several people park there with various small trailers as well, without feeling crowded. The area also has a picnic table and room to set up a tent near the toilet.
A lot of local OHV riders came through daily, especially on the weekends. Also, waking up to a stampede of sheep is an interesting thing that happened multiple mornings...
That said, everything was wonderfully clean and level enough for me (your mileage may vary on that one). I would stay here again if in the area. I really only docked it a point for the noise from the OHV users and the sheep.
I had cops called on me twice while here. They were super cool, friendly, and didn't give me any trouble (other than waking me up at 2am once). Others camped next to me multiple nights as well, so not sure why I got the hassle; could be I was there more than people are used to or something. Hard to say. It is a 14 day camping limit, and the police I interacted with were well aware of that. Really, those officers were confused on why they were even sent out to check me out--it was pretty obvious I was just camping out there, as they made a point to say to me. I have no idea what this means about the site, but it's a thing... probably something that would be more likely if traveling in a van or sleeping in a car like I was.
