We've camped at Black Rock countless times. We've stayed in the cabins and tent camped in the sites. The bathrooms are clean (as far as state campgrounds go). It is patrolled regularly and rules are enforced. The campsites are decent sized with a good amount of foliage in between them. It's our close to home camping go to spot.
CrystalStarr would stay here again

“Little to none privacy ”

Our arrival was pretty easy, we had a pull through site, but it was just situated on the side of the road within the campground, didn't really seem like a site. There was very little privacy between the sites.
Prior to booking a site at this campground, we knew that it was going to be dry camping. There was no electric, and maybe our experience would have been better if we didn't pick the hottest weekend of the summer to go. However we just didn't get a good vibe from the campground compared to others that we have stayed at.
The only positive that we can think of, is the location was close to things we wanted to see.
