Black Oaks Mobile Community

I called ahead and was told they only take 6 month to one year occupants, not short-term and they might be full at any time.

The lady finally agreed that if I’d call on the day I was arriving, I could stay if there was an opening. Rather than call, I just drove in. She wanted me to go away, but finally agreed to see what was open. Her husband, Jody was also in the office and reminded her of several open sites that would work nicely for our 42 ft motorhome so she grudgingly took my money. Jody on the other hand was very nice and helped me back in.
It’s a mobile home park so don’t expect a bathhouse or swimming pool. But it’s close to a granddaughter and we’ll come back if she’ll let us park. Maybe Jody will be handy again.

When we first pulled into this mobile home park we thought, RUH ROW. But once we managed to get level, we were happy we chose this spot for our quick overnight stay. It is conveniently off of 70. The road through the community is wide. We slept with our windows open and it was extreemly quiet, not a peep from people or dogs. It felt safe. We would stay here again for a one night stop when traveling along 70. Check the gravel pad carefully before backing in.
