Overview of Black Gap Road Designated Dispersed Campsite 11

Camping is only allowed at designated campsites in Bald Eagle State Forest. Reservations and permits are required and can be made online or over the phone. Campfires are prohibited from March 1 - May 25 without authorization from the District Forester.

Black bears frequent the area. When not in immediate use, all food, beverages, coolers, cooking utensils, pet food, or other attractants must be kept in a closed, hard-sided vehicle or secured in a bear-proof storage container.

Advice yes there are some very limited cell service yet not enough to really use! It’s tricky because at first you have 2 bars but they are not stable. Very beautiful area. WARNING ⛔️ ROADS are not always roads they can turn into to “drivable trails” they are drivable likely things will not turn out good if you venture down them be careful and enjoy. Tenting would be best.
