Bishop Park is one of the most popular campgrounds in the Bishop Creek Area as it is located on the banks of the Middle Fork of Bishop Creek. Summer months can be quite impactful here with tent sites holding up to 6 tents. That means there are a lot of people and cars. During our mid week visit in late October, the campground was pretty vacant. We camped in site 1 away from the creek and out of the trees, as we wanted an open area for our solar panels. Other sites feature grassy lawns and campsites right on the creek.
Many of the 21 campsites are walk in tent sites. Although not recommended for large RVs, sites 1-3 away from the creek can accommodate rigs up to 35'. There are a few other sites that will accommodate smaller rigs to a maximum length of 22'.
The campground has two flush toilets buildings at each end of the campground and drinking water faucets. It is walking distance to Cardinal Village Resort and a short drive to Lake Sabrina, North Lake and South Lake. Bishop is just 25 minutes down the road for groceries, fuel and dining.
