Nice park and campground. Felt very safe. Near to grocery etc. sites very spacious. Nice paved walking/bike trail. Quiet even though there is a busy roadway nearby. Has fishing and kayaking but we did neither. 17 miles to WDW. Sites paved

While not all sites have full hook-ups we were able to dump on the way in and out if needed. i would recommend this park to anyone coming to this area. We were able to get 5G with 3 bars on both AT&T and Our T Mobile hotspot. The people who work here are very friendly. This is a gated park which is nice and very quiet. This park is pet-friendly with clean-up bags at different locations. For Summer travelers they have a pool, bike trails, frisbee golf, horse stables, picnic areas, and boating and fishing.

We've stayed at this park 4 times now. This time around however, we would rate our stay a 3 because the grass was very, very high (knee high around some electrical pedestals) and the road in the campground itself is in some serious need of repair. The asphalt is broken and pretty darn rough on the edges and there a few really large holes. Here's our list of pros and cons:
Pros: Fantastic price, great location in Orlando, nice laundry room. The campground itself has no amenities, but it's located inside a city park that has a wonderful playground and pool (pool is only open Memorial Day - Labor Day). The interior roads can be tricky/tight, but you can fit a larger rig (our last rig was a 40' fifth wheel and we stayed 3 times with no problems). Publix is less than 10 minutes from your campsite, Walmart is about 15 and Costco about 20. Universal is 10 minutes and Disney is about 30. No road noise inside your unit, but you can hear the freeway when you're walking the trails around the campground.
Con: The city needs to maintain the grounds (landscaping) and the interior road of the campground. Both are in very rough shape. For example, there is no walkway to the bathhouse, you simple walk through a grassy field/yard. It's awkward. Our first visit, we circled around it a couple of times trying to find where you were supposed to walk. LOL. The bathhouse itself is very dated and the stalls are super small, but it's usually pretty clean. There is NO exterior lighting, which is not our favorite. The raccoons are not afraid of people and they will be at the dumpster once it gets dark, so be very careful. There is a really pretty nature walk in the city park area that's takes you down by the lake; you used to access it from inside the campground, but they've now locked that gate which is really disappointing. You can still get there, but you have to go around to the outside of the campground. Pool closes after Labor Day, which stinks as Florida can be hot through the end of October... sometimes into November.
All in all... a little park with some big potential.

I have a 45' toy hauler and yes it is tight but for the price and location, it's worth it. The park has lots of trees, on-site 7 I couldn't get satellite TV. Can’t believe the city only charges $19 for a Ltd hook up site. Full hook up is only $23! Beautiful campground, really large sites that are spread out, easy access, no noise. A great campground for a great price, and easy access to theme parks.

The roads are narrow and have rough sections but we were in our 39 ft Class A RV but there are a lot of trees if you not comfortable in tight spaces maybe this is not for you. I love county/state parks because they are not plowed down and all asphalt. These are all back in sites. Concrete pad parking, unlevel so your jacks have to do some work. We had full hook up spot, all excellent. There is a fill up and dump station on exit. Picnic table provided. Nice bike paths along the lake and through the park. Disk golf is very popular. Pool is large, life guard, check days it is open it was only weekends (June). Lots of pavilions inside the park. Animal farm for kids. Really close to Universal.

Only downside was the noise. This park is right next to the Florida Turnpike. The RV/Camper site is a little further away from the road so you probably wont have any issues but the primitive site is much closer to the road. First night there was a cop pulling people over all night. The rest of the time was just normal traffic. Outside of the noise it's a great place to relax.

Paths around the lake for biking and running are great. Bathrooms are kind of old but they were clean. There is also a laundry and book exchange facility on the premises. Would totally have stayed longer if we could have. It only cost us $19 a night for electric and water hookup, dump station in the campground. There are some full hookup sites available, not sure of the cost but I think around $23/night. Saw lots of other airstreams parked here when we arrived. Quiet and felt safe. They lock the gates at 5pm but give you a code to get in so you can come and go as you please.
