Overall Rating
Nice, remote, clean and free primitive camping site. Perfect location to explore Sam Houston National Forrest.
Access road was overall in good shape with some hole and fallen trees, but could be problematic after raining.
Perfect place if you want to avoid the crowds, although there is enough space for many distanced campers.
I will go again and bring some friends.

Getting here in a big rig is tough! Dirt road coming from either direction. Beware of ruts and potholes.
The site itself is a quiet, beautiful field surrounded and broken up by mature pines.
No Verizon service, one bar at best.
Might be exactly what you're looking for, just didn't work for us.
