First, I have to comment on the vast size of this RV Ranch. There has to be 200+ sites here and then there is how clean and well maintained this park is by the staff members. We arrived shortly after 3p and were quickly greeted and checked in. They provide you with an escort to your site who assists with getting you parked (not set up). Although there were may RV’s already on site the traffic really started after 4-5 pm.
We dinned at the Big Texan Ranch Steakhouse. There is a complimentary limo (a real limo not a bus) ride that picks you up at your site at your requested dinner time. Our drivers were very pleasant and conversational. The food was impressive. I went back and forth trying to decide between the Chicken Fried Steak or the Catfish, I went with the catfish and was extremely pleased with my selection. My husband opted for ribs, brisket, and sausage platter. Our appetizer was the rib sampler (it’s Texas, I had to try a rib) baby backs. The bbq sauce was as good as FD’s. Our sever was a young lady named Joselyn who was prompt and attentive to our needs while also providing great service to many other diners. Like the RV Ranch the steakhouse is huge. It remind me of a saloon from Gunsmoke, but much larger.
We did not use the facilities, but we did walk around the park the next morning before our rollout. The sites seemed level and are built on gravel. The P Lot is where larger coach’s and fifth wheels are parked, but fills up quickly. There are some really nice rockers near the dog run (I believe there are two dog runs).
Insects were not an issue here, was able to sit outside and enjoy the evening sunset.
Would definitely return to this location.

First impression it seemed a bit cramped but after setting up it is perfect. The office staff were very friendly and the gentleman that lead me to my site was extremely helpful. A big plus for this campground is they provide a limo to The Big Texan steakhouse which is a must!! There is road noise but not awful.

Great RV park and super friendly staff. Upon arrival there was a man in a golf cart that directed us where to park so we could step our and check in. The ladies at the front desk were super nice and set us up for a free limo ride to the Big Texan Restaurant. Once we finished check in the same man on the golf cart lead us to our RV site and helped us pull through and line up to the hookups without having to get out of the car. Small(er) spots but all equipped with full hook ups and picnic tables and enough room to move around and be comfortable.
I would recommend staying here if you’re passing through! Oh, for those who want to know - the WiFi was awesome! 🙂

Traveling I40 through Texas my husband wanted me to experience the Big Texan restaurant. Noticing the RV park signs offering free shuttle to the restaurant we decided to see if they had a spot for us. They happened to have a cancellation so we stayed the night. Easy on easy off the highway made the only negative the traffic noise but as we were planning on overnighting in a rest area it’s not a part of our rating. Extremely nice staff, and clean facilities. We even got to enjoy a few Laps in the pool while we did a load of laundry. For a last minute choice we were extremely happy.

I stayed here last year, and again this year. This is a good stop over with limo rides to The Big Texan Steak Ranch and Brewery. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful.. It's a great stop over.

First RV park we've EVER stayed at. We were driving our new RV from Alvarado, TX to Albuquerque, NM and stopped in Amarillo for the night. After 6 hours of my first RV trip, I was really ready to rest! We arrived a little after 7, so they had called me mid-afternoon to confirm we were coming and gave us instructions for after-hours checkin. We found our spot immediately (they had left us a map with our spot circled and arrows to guide us...low tech but simple). Settled in. Power was great. All other hook-ups a breeze. The next morning, we had a chance to look around. I doubt any RV parks are glorious to look at, but I appreciated that they had curved streets, so it didn't just look like row after row of RVs, but like a little neighborhood. Plenty of dumpsters around to get rid of trash. A nice "club house" with necessities as well as gift items. Friendly staff. The restrooms were a bit stark...but serviceable. The bar is now pretty high for RV parks of the future for us. (By the way, we had never eaten at The Big Texan even after years of driving past it. We decided to celebrate there. Call them and they will send a limo over to the RV park to transport you! That was fun, and frankly, since we didn't have a tow car...a big cost savings over Uber.)

We stayed here during the virus chaos while traveling to South Dakota for the spring/summer. We opted for extra nights due to weather conditions.
There is also a Walmart nearby for restocking of groceries.
We did not use any of the amenities here at the park. The wifi was very good. We would stay here again.

Good Sam discount, which we did not use. Rate for full hookup all gravel site $42.00 per nite no tax no discount.
