We stayed here for 9 or so nights as we waited out snowy weather in New Mexico (Jan/Feb). The park itself looks like the roads were paved out for it to be a housing neighborhood. There are curbs and cul-de-sacs and the RV sites are in between the roads. The sites are either VERY long pull-throughs or two spacious back-ins. Because of the weird layout, it looked like RVs just sort of randomly parked here and there. Part of that, I'm sure, is that we were there so early in the year and the park wasn't overly busy.
All the hookups worked great and our site was level. It's mostly all gravel around, though. A little grass here and there but it was all dead/dormant while we were there.
Three fenced dog areas with the largest being roomy enough to toss the ball for our pup. Always appreciate a fenced dog area.
Laundry was expensive. Showers were hot, spacious, and with good pressure.
They have a heated pool and hot tub. We didn't try the pool but did go to the hot tub. It's one of those residential type hot tubs you can buy. Kinda small and not really hot enough for my liking. But at least it was an option.
The staff here was extremely friendly and helpful! Honestly the best staff we've encountered.
Overall, we enjoyed our time here. The free donuts each morning were a nice touch. :D

Indoor pool which looked very nice but didn’t use. Office also has a nice gift shop.
Park also runs Big Texas Steakhouse down road, which was very good. A great place to check out. RV park has limousine rides to restaurant for dinner.

Overall, it's a nice park. We normally stay at Overnight RV on the other side of town. It's no frills (at all). We thought we'd try this one for something different. Here, there's less shade, more traffic and noisier at night. We'll save the $8 and go back to our usual spot next time.
I should also mention there's construction happening in the area which makes it a pain to get around with a big rig.

Pulled in for a night - staff was friendly, but sites were packed together - we could have asked our neighbors for a cup of sugar without leaving the rig. Full hookups, WiFi and cable if you want it.
Several dog parks for the poochies and pay laundry on-site. Easy on/off from the highway.

Only complaint is highway noise, but that’s to be expected when you’re right off I-40.

Wildthing & I wanted a spot to wait out some very windy conditions for a few days in Amarillo and boy howdy we found a gem. We arrived mid afternoon and was greeted with a friendly welcome by Janet followed by an easy check-in. Was escorted to our site by Rickey, who got us situated like a pro, but then I guess he is. We checked out the indoor pool & hot tub. Both were nice & warm & good sized. The big pull thru sites were all gravel, which is ok because Amarillo is in a drought so the grass would have been the same color anyway. Power was good & Rickey was sure and warned us to use a regulator as water pressure is 80psi. Sometimes amenities make a place but in this case its Lori, Rickey, Janet and all the staff that make it one step better. So stop in for the donuts and coffee, stay a few days and explore Amarillo.

The Amarillo Ranch RV Park doesn't have the prettiest sites, but the amenities made this a great stop for an overnight stay while traveling cross country on I-40. We stopped for just one night while traveling west and set up in a large pull-through site. All of the sites appeared to be neatly maintained and level, and some had more shade than ours. The showers were the largest I've ever seen, and each shower had a big room to itself. They were spotless.
As mentioned, the amenities made this place special. In the morning, coffee and donuts are free in the office. They even offer real half-and-half for the coffee, which is a luxury with free coffee. Our sons enjoyed the donuts, which were delicious bakery donuts. The office also has several tables, DVD rentals, and some games. One amenity we didn't get to use was the pool. We arrived after hours and didn't have time to play the morning we were checking out. The large indoor pool looked clean and wonderful, though. The office staff was also very friendly.
The Amarillo Ranch is located close to some neat places in Amarillo. From the RV park, you can walk to a little waterpark, and about 20 minutes up the road is the infamous Cadillac Ranch, which is a fun place to turn the kids loose to spray paint some cars.
Amarillo Ranch is conveniently located near restaurants and groceries stores, but most importantly, it's a quick stop off of I-40, if you're looking for a place to hop off of the interstate. I probably wouldn't want to stay here for a long vacation since we prefer campgrounds with more natural settings, but for a reasonably-priced, clean place to spend the night, this is a great stopover.
