Big State RV Park

There are good things about this campground including the price. The pads are large, paved, and well lit. It's right off Hwy 45 and within walking distance of a nice county park, Highland Bayou. They have one guest bathroom/shower and a few washers and dryers (although some were out of order). It's a hoot to camp across the road from donkeys and hear them braying day and night. However, it's not very well maintained: high grass and weeds, garbage blowing around, broken pallets lying in the grass, a graveyard for old vehicles, lots of construction materials - and some guest pads that are really junked up. The wifi was very weak and non-existent at times. The contrast with the photos on their website is striking. I know it's a work-in-progress, but until that work is done, it just needs some attention.
