This lodge is a bit over a mile from the main road. The road is unlit and winds through a wooded low-density residential area. The lodge has a large sign outside and the buildings appeared well maintained but it was completely deserted (excepting a pick up truck parked near what looked like a rental cabin). This lodge is a bit over a mile from the main road. The road is unlit and winds through a wooded low-density residential area. The lodge has a large sign outside and the buildings appeared well maintained but it was completely deserted (excepting a pick up truck parked near what looked like a rental cabin).
There might have been more to it but there were no signs leading from the lodge to any camping, no way to check in, and no apparent security. The lot is gravel and visibility was poor around the buildings so I didn’t investigate much. I drove to the Walmart in Ironwood about 15 minutes away and stayed there.

This is a ski resort with large parking lots and two small lakes. There are some areas with fire pits. They also do Harvest Hosts. You can spend several nights here in exchange for visiting the sky bar for drinks/food. Nice trade off. Nice wooded areas, some hiking trails, 4x4 trails, etc. Would visit again.

Found their ad on Boondockerswelcome so come on up. Very generous of the facility to let us stay here. Two big open lots and a bunch of grassy areas with picnic tables and fire pits, two lakes, mediocre Wi-Fi at the office. I list the upload and download information at the end of the video. Two big open lots and a bunch of grassy areas with picnic tables and fire pits, two lakes, mediocre Wi-Fi at the office. I list the upload and download information at the end of the video. It’s been peaceful quiet and great views the whole time. A few rigs coming and going, maintenance staff about, a few people staying at the condos so quite a bit of activity but not bad overall
