Our site was about point 3 miles (point 8 KM) into the area. Distancing from other campers was good. Our site was flat and fairly even. Overall the area was clean and quiet. Off road users were minimal and mostly well behaved.
We had three bars of 5G service on our hotspot. We did find a few OTA TV channels.
We discovered a nice hike along a canyon just east of the entrance. We heard coyotes at night and we spotted a tarantula and saw wild burros during our stay.
There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores in Parker. We found this BLM to be excellent. We did experience a bit of a wind storm but the dust level was very limited. We paid $0.00 per night and we feel we received fair value. We will be back if in the area again..

Flat with great view.
We passed through last year and decided to give it try.
Close to Parker and shopping. Verty quit. Most important, good cell reception.

There's room for about 30 RVs nicely spaced, but there were probably double that amount. It's obvious there used to be more room but BLM has closed much of it with "No Motorized Vehicle" signs, and it is enforced. You'll be told to move if you ignore the signs. The up side to this is no OHVs seen in the area.

You can park where the GPS shows or as much as 1.1 miles up the road. I parked about 100 yards north of where the GPS shows. I am sure there could be more than 100 big rigs. I have a 40’ motorhome and I got here without any trouble at all. Rocks and gravel all around so NO chance of getting stuck. Parker AZ is only 4 miles from here... more

Parker AZ is only 4 miles from here and Walmart in 6.5 miles from here. To get to a Home Depot, Lowes, Tractor Supple or Harbor Freight you will have to travel about 50 to 60 miles.
Nice view of Parker AZ to the Southeast. The night lights from here a fantastic.
The Parker Post Office will accept “General Deliveries”
Very quiet and clean place to stay, I will be here again.

Beautiful mountains, sunsets and sunrises. Large gravel sites for any size rig. Only downside is the ATV’s, although most were considerate when going by. Convenient to Parker AZ.

While the desert is not my cup of tea this place will work for a while. I prefer the forest.

I liked this spot. It’s easy to get a large buffer of space for yourself; there’s some road noise but the surrounding mountains are nice and it felt clean. If you’re coming in from the west, know that the left turn is tight and potentially scrape-y. Go slow and the rest is easy.

We stayed here for a week during the worst of the pandemic (full-timers). Lots of RVs in the main area but plenty of room. We drove several miles in until we found ourselves alone. The road is well maintained for over a mile but then it does become rough which is why everyone clusters towards the front. There is some road noise but all in all a very nice wide open space with big sky. We would have stayed longer but temperatures were pushing 100 degrees so we moved to Flagstaff, AZ to wait out the pandemic.

I came up from Quartzsite, and went first to Shea Road. That was a beautiful location, but I couldn't get any Verizon 4G, so I drove on to Big River. I was not at all happy with it, and stayed only long enough to do some sightseeing.
Unless you can get a site on the side-road to the left, the sites are all up against the main dirt road. I counted 33 RVs along the 1.3 miles of navigable road, and the road was constantly busy with pickup trucks driving in and out, many of them speeding and kicking up dust.
My site was very unlevel. Because the camping area is ranged along a ridge, there was nowhere to take walks except along the road. Highway noise was intrusive.
I had 2 bars of Verizon 4G, but the service was poor. Repeated speed tests produced no more than 1.2 Mbps download and 0.4 Mbps upload speeds.
If you can manage without internet, camp at Shea Road instead of here.

Quiet, peaceful, dark and mostly level. We couldn't get any TV channels on our antenna but we got 2 or 3 bars of AT&T LTE that allowed us to watch the Superbowl anyway. About 13 miles to Parker from this spot but it seems the further you go west of Parker, the less crowded it is.
