My favorite local campground.
The road is 4-7 miles of rough dirt with beautiful views. High clearance vehicles recommended. 4WD not necessary when dry, probably advisable when wet. I've made it in a minivan, but it's not comfortable. Campground Host has Class A, so it can be done.
One side is shady, one side is sunny. Near a large meadow.
This campground is at a crossroads of green-sticker trails for ohv's. 11 miles south to Crab Flats campground via green-sticker road. Shooting area is nearby. California Fire Authority Station is located here.
Very clean pit toilets, water spigots, no hookups.
Noise depends on the crowd. It's usually quiet with occasional ohv's driving past.
imsick247 would stay here again
