“Packed in”

Not sure why other reviews called this place spacious. Drove four hours here based on having wifi and such positive feedback. It's packed tight with residents, and even driving the loop around can be tricky. You could probably jump from trailer to trailer. I only counted two open sites but left and ended up camping a little further down the road at Choke Canyon SP.

There are a lot of Mesquite trees sprinkled throughout the park. The park was very quiet because it's home to a lot of oil workers that work in the surrounding area. The park is a couple of miles from town. The only sound I heard at night was coyotes in the distance. The laundry facilities are first class. The Wifi coverage is excellent. The speed drops at night when the oil workers are off work. There is a dog area and playground. the park roads and the pads are dirt.
frequent traveler Dave would stay here again

This is a nice park with mostly mesquite trees. It is close to San Antonio and Corpus Christi. The park is VERY quiet. Most of the campers appear to be refinery workers. We rarely saw anyone out and about. There is a dog park and a playground. Sites have FHU with 50 amp. They are spacious lots but there are no picnic tables, fire rings and not too level. They have gravel parking pads.
There are 2 Wi-Fi towers but service slowed down significantly at night. They have mail slots so you can have your packages/mail delivered there. They take great care of the property. Jeff, the owner, is a very caring, helpful person.
There is a laundry room with 5 washer/dryers. Wash is $2.50, Dry is $1.50. Unfortunately they only take tokens and the dryers took 2 cycles to dry.
There are great sunsets from the park! To the east is a large Valero refinery that is visible in the distance but it actually looks nice at night.

I am revising the review from a 5 star to a 2 star. The morning we were leaving our quiet stay was interrupted by the sounds of a nearby refinery. The air had the unpleasant smell of sulfur. I would not return to this park.
