“Few spots for short stays”

Most sites have huge RVs in them surrounded by decks and appear not to have moved in months or even years. The roads are rutted and the few available sites (maybe 6 or 7), to rent are rutted and muddy except two. WiFi was great until the weekend when the owners of those permanent looking sites showed up. Site #24 was level and on the water. I might rent that one. No sewer drains. The picnic table was rotten and overgrown with weeds as were the ones next to us. On site beaches for swimming and boat put in. Can rent one of three nice pontoon boats there. Lots of other campgrounds around.

“Beautiful views, poorly managed ”

First for the positive. The views are lovely. Our site was water front and very spacious.
But that’s where the good news ends. The campground is so poorly managed. Trash on the sites. The bathhouse has no AC, no paper towels, or air dryer for hands. Wooden stalls for showers. Very very bad condition.
But worst of all is the sites we are on are apparently a common pass-through to the beach. This is NOT public space, but that hasn’t stopped anyone from walking right through our sites, in front of our camper, to cut across. So incredibly disrespectful. If this area was a public access we would not have booked the site. It is not marked that way anywhere. “Management” was unconcerned with the issue. Even after a few folks decided to take a seat on a log right outside our front door. Our family booked sites 8, 7, 7a, 6. I would not recommend any of those in the future. The only “benefit” is the close proximity to the bathhouse since very few sites here are full hookups.
Finally, the site itself was very hard to get into. Fortunately, we have a small trailer (Tab 400) and tow with a ZL1 Silverado, so making our own path wasn’t much of an issue. Would have loved to know that ahead of time.
