“Incredible park, but dog restrictive.”

We camped here in early September, 2019. Like most Quebec parks, 2019 was the 1st year that they allowed dogs. Only one camping area, with a total of ~50 sites allowed campers with dogs. These are in the Rivere du Sud Ouest area and is closest to the highway and main entrance. The sites were level and adequate. Sites 1-41 are generally unshaded in an open field. 59-66 are more wooded and some are adjacent to the river. Sites 54, 59 and 66 (huge!) seem to have the most privacy. There are 4 other camping areas within the park, some unserviced and some with yurts or ready-to-camp facilities.

There are two remote areas in the park where dogs are permitted on leash, but you must drive them there. One of these, Ile du Massacre is accessible only during low tide.

The park is laced with trails and bike paths. There are endless places to explore: tidal zones, exhibits in the visitors' centers, a small "mountain" to climb and beaches to walk. The views are amazing, and most trails access a beach or water feature. A concessionaire, Aventures Archipel, conducts kayak trips from a location just a bit north of the main park. This is also a good spot to watch the sunset.

The closest village, Bic, has a very good and well-known restaurant. The nearby city of Rimouski has everything you could need and a very nice historic site at Point a' Pere.

We loved this park, despite the restrictions.

“Ok campground, but beautiful park”

The park is absolutely stunning. It's proximity to the St Lawrence and the nature walks make this park an absolute must to see. The campground is basically a field next to the highway, but since we were just sleeping there it was fine to stay at. The washrooms were very clean and functional.
