Bee Run Campground

We really liked it here, birds were the only noise, and a few walks around (though a bit muddy now). The CoE is adding gravel and 6x6 site borders. We were thankful for the gravel as it covers the mud, but the borders make it a bit more challenging getting our 42 foot rig parked. Very nice host couple, and rangers come through a few times a day. Sherif drove through a few times the week we stayed. Only had 1 other camper 2 nights, rest of the week we were alone. Great for solar too. You need to get the rec.gov app to pay.

Let me start by saying this is dry camping. Regular price is $15 w/ Senior Pass $7.50. No hookups except for host but there is water spigot available at the drinking fountain. There was no camp host when we were there as they had to leave due to a serious illness(not Covid). We stayed 10 nights primarily because it was great for solar and Verizon hotspot and phones. WV is death for Verizon, locals use US Cellular. We were alone almost every night and loved the peace and quiet. Bee Run Recreation Area is 5 minutes away and you can get cold showers there and a marina. Sutton Dam is about 20 min. away. There is a Walmart close by which is always a good thing. The Ranger stopped by a couple of times and was super friendly. The only negative with this campground is the outhouses!!! They are very small, primitive, and filled with drain/sewer flies. Good thing we are self contained because my wife would not step foot in them. There is trash but it is frequented by the locals as well. Had a few Look Lou's (locals) drive through each day but never any problems.
