Sites are not level. Our slide went over our neighbors picnic table. Not well kept park. We had to crawl underneath our motor home to connect water and sewer. No picnic table at our site.

I arrived unannounced on a Monday afternoon. I drove right to the campground, which was not how it works. Granted, I could have done a bit more homework (see their website), but the signage is a bit confusing. After calling the office and getting directions, I found the visitor center and got registered, picking up a t-shirt and some f... more

Beckley is only located about 30 miles from the New River Gorge, the Gauley River and fantastic hiking. It is actually Gauley Season right now. The water and sewage hookups are located at the back of the pad. The electrical stand contains two hook up for the adjoining sites. You might have to run your cord under your RV. The mine ... more

The entrance to the campground is at the top Willis Street. Depending on the direction you're coming from, either turn left or right off of Ewart Avenue. However, between 10 AM & 5:30 PM, it is best to go to the visitor center gift shop at the Beckley Exhibition Coal Mine which is on Ewart Avenue, northeast of the intersection with Willis. There is a large parking lot - bus parking is available in the lower section of the lot. From 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm proceed to the campground and register in the small office behind the shower house at the rear of the campground.
