We stayed 5 days total and have had the pleasure to enjoy the parks amenities. The one mile trail around the park is breathtaking adventure for all in the family. The Clark river holds a wealth of trout fish and awesome river views too. The train that runs is a comfort to hear and had no issues sleeping, it is actually quite nice to hear throughout the day. We stayed the first week in October and had only a few other campers here too. Even though there is no dump station for us to stay longer, the onsite restrooms were clean. We definitely recommend this park and will return again an again.

We did not hear any of the traffic from I90 from our site. Train nearby. Maybe went by at night about 3 times. Beautiful river access. If visiting Missoula I would stay again. Also great for passing through. We will return. 44.00 after all the fees Drove up to Garnet Ghost town. About 1 1/2 hours to get there using hwy200 access

Some people leaving reviews need to study an atlas before they travel. Look at Montana - basically one interstate with a lot of truck traffic on I-90. Also, note the train track that parallels the freeway. A LOT of commerce passes through Montana by truck and by rail.
IF this annoys you plan a different route, plan to leave the freeway by several miles to camp, plan what you need to be comfortable.
But don’t blame this delightful state park for being 2 minutes from the freeway on paved access for road noise and train whistles.
The sites are very nicely spaced, 50amp power, and beautiful river spots.
The camp host was very kind and helpful, the type that goes beyond expectations.
We will camp here again.

We enjoyed this campground. The host was very nice and the spots were comfortable. Our only issue were the trains, but we would definitely stay here again.

All the sites have electric which is a nice perk. Great walking trail along the river. I don’t quite get the negative reviews - this place is not to shabby at all and great to rvs!
P.S. $34/night for an electric site is CHEAP! Especially considering how much space there is and it’s on the river!

Arrived after hours. Chose site 15 off the available list. Only power at RV sites. Water is available in a few central locations but no dump station on site. Each site as a fire ring and picnic table. Bathrooms were nice. There was a little freeway noise if you listened for it. We did hear a few trains. Camp Host was friendly.

This is a very nice state campground. I can’t understand the previous bad reviews. Bathroom was sparkling clean, sites had new gravel and level, very well cared for campground. Many sites are on the river with access for fishing. We enjoyed the 1 mile nature trail so much we walked it twice. The campground attendant was very nice at check in and was prepared for us. It’s a smaller campground so we quickly found our site and set up. Very quiet all night. No train noise. About 1 mile from I90 but honestly we couldn’t hear any traffic noise. The location provides beautiful views, I would highly recommend this campground and plan to come back when we can spend more time. We used the reservation system $10 fee for that. $44.00 total. Site included: electric. Water close by (appears all sites have water sources close). Dump services at exit. Stay. 6/7/21

If you didn't make a reservation in advance don't bother even showing your face. My group and I had been displaced by fires for 48 hours and couldn't make it to the actual reservations we made so we were desperate for a place to stay, stranded in Missoula. When we arrived trying to find a spot, the first open one we came upon was reserved for accessibility camping until 8pm. We stopped the car for literal minutes to walk and check the rest of the campground to see if anything was open and then we were going to decide if we wanted to hang out until 8pm or move on and try to keep searching because we were desperate. Before we even had a chance to discuss anything, a vile, old, bald man on a tricycle approached us and started yelling at us, making it very clear we weren't even welcome, couldn't be bothered to listen to us, spoke to us like we were idiots, and tried to ticket us. Let me remind you, we had been stopped for literally minutes, had not unpacked anything out of our car, had not insinuated we even wanted the campsite, and this man verbally attacked us. He said "if we couldn't see the reserved sign with our eyes then we shouldn't be allowed to drive" among many other rude and demeaning comments. The staff was completely unwilling to listen, did not want to help, couldn't be bothered, horrible at customer service, and were very cold.
