Beaver Creek Campground

If it hadn’t rained cats and massive water droplets all night, we may have been more inclined to obey any happy camper stickers we might have come upon.

This is a small campground with dry camping sites near a boat dock, a small beach and a playground. The pit toilets, which even had running water sinks, were seriously the cleanest I’ve seen in two decades of camping.

Your experience may vary but a fella with a tarp city looked like he’d basically moved in full time, and another tent camper was freaking out on his dog often enough to make things awkward. There is about as much privacy between sites as a there are clothes at a free hot spring and though the sites were pristinely clean, it just felt like you were at an RV park, as opposed to the more typically spacious and wooded spots you’ll ease your way into with most ACE camping.
