There were 2 numbers I tried to call that were listed on a paper at the self service station but they kept just going to voicemail. Also second night was not good, guy in campsite 12 had an alarm on his rv trailer that kept going off through the night, knocked on his door a few times but wouldn’t answer, didn’t get any sleep the second night. More than likely wouldn’t be staying at this place again

Basic campground, good open space for kids/bikes. Would be a long walk to the lake (Beauty Bay).

I travelled here with a 35’ 5th wheel, long bed pickup and parked in site 18, a back in, dry site for $12 with an America the Beautiful pass. It’s a small Forest Service CG and the road in was a little bumpy and the road/sites were narrow. It was really hard getting my rig in the site. Definitely don’t recommend it for rigs my size. The road/site was asphalt. #18 had good open sky above it for my solar panels. The spacing of the sites was generous. I couldn’t see anyone else from my site due to distance and depth of foliage. There is a very large private area for the picnic table and fire pit. There was another area beyond that to set up a tent putting it right by the creek (which was dry at this time of the year.) I didn’t use the vault toilet, but the camp host cleaned them daily. He was very diligent. Weak Verizon, didn’t check for OTA, no wifi. Very quiet park. If I had a smaller rig I would definitely stay there again since it is close to Coeur d’Alene and is so pretty.

Stayed here one night on a cross country road trip. Best campsite we had on the trip. Quiet and private site (#13) with level parking. Good cell service. Pit toilets as expected. Easy access to 97 Lake Couer d’Alene scenic byway for gorgeous sunset drive.

But that said it was quiet, clean, and the host was lovely and kind, and site 19 at the end was perfect for my 19’ van to back into at the very end of the road so very private and surrounded by trees. Walked the loop to the lake and back in about 40 minutes. Creek was dry :-(. Good signal for me; I worked using my hotspots for an hour or so and watched Netflix for an hour after it got dark.

We enjoyed this campground and it’s proximity to Coeur d’Alene. Fire pits, picnic tables, decent sites, out toilets, no dump station or water hookups but it does have water to fill gallons. Overall clean and quiet.

While the drive along the lake is beautiful, the campground is nothing special. Just sites with no scenery and no cell. I’m glad there were no sites available when I pulled in. Drove to Bell Bay which is much more scenic. If you want to be near Coeur d’Alene, go with Beauty Creek. Bell Bay is an hour away with cell.

My only complaint is there were bees (i think yellow jackets?) everywhere so you really couldn’t enjoy being outside

We mistakenly thought the campground host was a sweetheart, until we ran into crazy neighbors. Apparently, people LIVE in tents here and still go to work early in the morning (at Cracker Barrel). If you're not 100% silent by 9:00 pm they will cuss you (and your young children) out and complain. We actually whispered at 10:18 while our kids sat around the fire enjoying a satisfying ice cream sandwich when all of a sudden Camp Host Rick was screeching to our site screaming at the top of his lungs for us to "SHUT IT DOWN"! He went on and on like a complete nut taking the "residents" side without even knowing the truth. I wish he would have quietly came up to see the truth of what was happening. He ended up calling the sheriff after I demanded he stopped screaming and scaring our children. The Sheriffs came and went back to tell him we didn't brake any laws and didn't even have to be quite until midnight. Thank you sheriff's department for being able to see the situation for what it actually was. Ranger Rick: be more professional and investigate before you jump to conclusions. P.s. the bathrooms were filled with maggots and the worse I've ever seen and the creek is bone dry.
