Mostly walk-in campsites in this area. Some drive-in sites but they require a permit under the Motorized Access Program for People With Disabilities (MAPPWD). Not sure about boondocking, but looks like you can probably get away with a night or two without being hassled. There's a spot where buses turn around for picking up people doing river trips, but it's not huge, so beware. The walk-in sites at the Bear Slide Trailhead were completely fouled up by horrible garbage people -- I'm planning to go back in a few days with trashbags and gloves if I can get someone with a truck to haul it out. Otherwise really nice place though. The river is nice and you definitely want to hike up to Bear Slide. We went all the way to the top and found a beaver damn, which was pretty great.

This place was hard to find. Eventually we found a small sign that explained that only some sites here were available for overnight camping. We tried to find these sites, but every site we found said no camping. We eventually gave up. If you try, good luck!
