“Great park”

Reviewed Jun 12, 2018

Overall Rating

First note that I used to live about 2 miles from this wonderful city park and can see my old sticks and bricks neighborhood from the park - so I am naturally inclined to love this place. With that said, this was a great city park to camp in. The spaces were nice and not too close together, the campground is clean (we peaked into t... more

“Very nice campground convenient to Denver”

Reviewed Sep 24, 2017

Overall Rating

Friends had recommended we stay here to visit Denver, and we're glad we did. Sites have electric only but there is an RV water fill station so be sure to stop and fill up before pulling into your site. Dump station was fine but the vault toilets were not the best. Some of the sites are very unlevel, and the one we reserved a couple mon... more

“Lots of traffic noise, but fantastic for proximity to Red Rocks Amphitheatre”

Reviewed Sep 11, 2017

Overall Rating

We stayed overnight here to attend a concert at nearby Red Rocks Amphitheatre. The campground is nice & clean, and is perfect for that purpose. And it looks to be a very nice day-use area (nice beach, albeit packed, easy access to multiple bike paths) - but I wouldn't come here to get away, as the traffic noise was loud all night, and ... more

“Super Convenient Location With Park Amenities Just Out Our Door”

Reviewed May 19, 2016

Overall Rating

We had a great stay at Bear Creek Lake in late May. This park is located for easy access to area recreation (we enjoyed Red Rocks, Dinosaur Ridge, hiking, Golden Breweries and nearby shopping). If you need to stay near the Denver metro area, this is a great option. We much preferred this over Cherry Creek, which is on the other side... more

“Better used for day use”

Reviewed Nov 28, 2015

Overall Rating

The price of $19 includes $1 off for senior discount. There was an additional $8 fee for a pass for the tow vehicle. This place is kind of hard to explain. It is like a little oasis in the middle of chaos. What is unusual is you can see and hear noise from the interstate. Plus the very bright lights of the nearby Home Depot. I see thi... more

“Decent park, lots of county park stuff to do”

Reviewed Apr 24, 2015

Overall Rating

Inexpensive for Denver. Sites are fairly large dirt/gravel mix and surrounded by grass and equipped with picnic tables and fire rings. Many of the sites are not level and the ground in ours ( despite looking dry and solid ) gave way and allowed our jacks to sink - see the photos. All seem to have electric only ( no water at sites ), ... more
